  • Kuvaus: The Cypriots’ fight against British occupation is depicted through three stories. A fighter (Petros Fysoun), after meeting Grigoris (Michalis Nikolinakos), a friend of his, leaves the mountain where he has taken refuge and goes to Paphos to treat his wounds. There he is captured by the British and is horribly tortured. The second story is about Grigoris, who is also wounded and who hides in a monastery. A nun collaborates with another fighter (Andreas Barkoulis) in organizing an ambush. She falls in love with the young man but has little hope that her love will come to fruition. In the third story, a Cypriot woman (Maro Kontou) falls in love with a British officer (Angelos Antonopoulos) and is accused of collaboration. Only when the British leave Cyprus is she able to prove her innocence.
